All 32 NFL teams have reported to training camp, and there’s no shortage of intrigue and storylines so far.
We’ll start Wednesday in Seattle, where the Seahawks appear pleased with their front-office structure which was good news for general manager John Schneider. The Seahawks agreed to a a four-year extension with Schneider, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported, with the franchise securing its GM and president of football operations through 2030.

Schneider has held the GM position since 2010. He added the role of executive vice president in 2013 and the title of president of football operations in 2024.

The extension comes two years before Schneider’s current deal ends in 2027. Adding three years to his tenure gives Schneider the chance to serve as the Seahawks’ GM for 20 years.
As for notable on-field action, Shedeur Sanders saw action against the Cleveland Browns’ first-team defense for the first time this training camp. He was with the Browns’ second-team offense while doing so, but he completed his final two passes of the four-play series after missing his initial throw, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Sanders ended up going 6-of-10 against the first team defense, and he got the final reps in the last 11-on-11 period with the third-string group.

Meanwhile, Dillon Gabriel went 6-of-11 and had a touchdown. Veteran Joe Flacco appears to be leading the race for the starting job, but Kenny Pickett is set to be evaluated again on Thursday during the team’s rest day. He is recovering from a hamstring injury.

If you thought that was a sign that Trey Hendrickson and the Cincinnati Bengals were suddenly on the verge of announcing a new mega-deal for the All-Pro, you would be incorrect. Hendrickson said Wednesday his contract situation remains “exactly the same” despite him being back with the team at training camp.
After a fight broke out in the middle of Cowboys practice, head coach Brian Schottenheimer gathered his team, swore like a sailor and warned players what would happen if they threw punches again. Schottenheimer wasn’t kidding. He walked the walk Wednesday when he tossed Ajani Cornelius from practice after the rookie offensive tackle reportedly threw a punch. Then after a few more fights broke out over the course of practice, Schottenheimer cut the day short, delivered another expletive-infused speech and made his team run as punishment.
