MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: OKTAGON 81
OKTAGON 81: Fleury vs Buday
Main Card Start Time: Noon EST Sunday (OKTAGON TV)
Czech promotion OKTAGON is one of several regional promotions continuing the long-standing combat sports tradition of ending the year with a bang. Their OKTAGON 81 event in Prague on Sunday is packed with exciting fights, with two title fights at the top of the bill.
The co-main event sees former UFC fighter and current OKTAGON Flyweight Champion Zhalgas Zhumagulov defend his title against another former UFC competitor, David Dvorak. The challenger enters this fight as the betting favorite and also has my backing.
Not only will Dvorak have the home crowd behind him, but he’s also the younger and bigger fighter in this matchup, which matters more in the lower weight classes. Plus, his grappling should be better than Zhumagulov’s.
