Spanish tennis sensation and world No.1 Carlos Alcaraz has added two striking new tattoos to his growing collection. The 22-year-old star, fresh off his dominant 2025 season, revealed ink featuring the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge—iconic symbols of New York City. This latest addition commemorates his second US Open title, won in September 2025.

Alcaraz’s victory at the 2025 US Open was nothing short of spectacular. Facing defending champion Jannik Sinner in the final at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Alcaraz delivered a masterclass, clinching the match 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. It marked his sixth Grand Slam title overall, drawing comparisons to the legendary Rafael Nadal, whom he surpassed in terms of speed in achieving this milestone. At just 22, Alcaraz became the youngest man in the Open Era to win multiple titles at three different Grand Slams, showcasing his versatility across various surfaces.
Alcaraz’s tattoo journey began with the date “11/09/22” on his arm for his first US Open win. Subsequent triumphs brought a strawberry for his Wimbledon conquests, which symbolises the tournament’s famous fruit, and an Eiffel Tower for his 2024 Roland Garros title.
This tattoo isn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision for Alcaraz. Apparently, he made a deal with his father that he would only get one iconic tattoo for each of the 4 slams. He only got the date for the 2022 US Open, so now he is finishing it.
Alcaraz had teased this New York-inspired design earlier in the year, joking during the Australian Open that he’d get a kangaroo if he triumphed Down Under, but reserving the Big Apple icons for a US Open repeat. It will be interesting to see whether the Spaniard sticks to the kangaroo tattoo or opts for something else if and when he wins the Australian Open.
