Week 17 in the National Football League is here and TSN will carry a total of 10 games as part of a loaded slate on the network this weekend.

The action begins with a Christmas Day tripleheader, before a pair of games with important playoff implications kick off on Saturday. Sunday will see four more games take place, alongside NFL RedZone, before the week comes to a close on Monday Night Football.

Here is a game-by-game look at all of the action on the TSN Network in Week 17.

Cowboys vs. Commanders

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys kick off a Christmas Day tripleheader with an NFC East matchup against the Washington Commanders.

Watch the Cowboys visit the Commanders LIVE Thursday at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on TSN1/3, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

Dallas (6-8-1) appeared to be heading for a late-season playoff push just weeks ago, but a three-game losing streak has officially eliminated them from contention with just two games remaining in the regular season.

The Cowboys fell 34-17 to the playoff-bound Los Angles Chargers last week, but will look to clinch a .500 season by winning their remaining games on the schedule.

Prescott threw for 244 yards and two scores in the loss last week, and now trails Matthew Stafford by just four passing yards for the league lead.

Washington (4-11) lost 29-18 to the Philadelphia Eagles last time out in Mariota’s second game as the starter with Jayden Daniels ruled out for the year.

Mariota has played in 11 games this season with Daniels dealing with a plethora of injuries, and has performed admirably with 1,695 passing yards 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Mariota left last week’s game with a right hand injury, and is questionable for the contest against Dallas.

Journeyman passer Josh Johnson, who finished the game against the Eagles, would figure to get the start against Dallas if Mariota is unable to go.

Lions vs. Vikings

Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions continue their chase for the playoffs as they take on the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC North clash.

Watch the Lions take on the Vikings LIVE Thursday at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT on TSN1/3, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

(AP Photo/Katie Chin) (Katie Chin)

Detroit (8-7) is currently on the outside looking in of the NFC playoff picture, and desperately need a win against their division rivals to keep their hopes of a third straight postseason berth alive.

Goff threw for 364 yards and three scores last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his efforts would go for naught in a 29-24 loss on home turf.

Goff is also in the race for the league’s passing yardage title this season, and is just 143 yards off of the lead with two games left to play.

Minnesota (7-8) is the only team currently eliminated from playoff contention in the NFC North at this point of the season, but the Vikings have quietly pieced together a three-game winning streak.

Rookie Max Brosmer will make his second start of the year with J.J. McCarthy sidelined with a hairline fracture in his right hand.

Brosmer struggled mightily in his first career NFL start in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks, throwing four interceptions in a 26-0 shutout.

The University of Minnesota product was much better in relief of McCarthy last week, completing seven-of-nine passes for 52 yards.

He will look to build on that performance as the Vikings take centre stage on Thursday afternoon against the Lions.

Broncos vs. Chiefs

The action on Christmas Day comes to a close with Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos visiting the banged-up Kansas City Chiefs in an AFC West tilt.

Watch the Broncos battle the Chiefs LIVE Thursday at 8:15 p.m. PT across the TSN Network, streaming on TSN.ca and the TSN App.

Denver (12-3) had an 11-game winning streak snapped last time out against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 34-20 loss.

Nix was outdueled by Trevor Lawrence in the potential AFC Championship matchup, but even with the loss, the Broncos remain tied with the New England Patriots atop the conference.

Denver is already heading to the playoffs, but now have the second-best odds for the No. 1 seeds, and the first-round bye, at 35.9 per cent.

The Broncos will look to win out to close the regular season in order to give themselves the best chance at finishing first in the AFC, beginning with a matchup against the Chiefs.

Kansas City (6-9) had been eliminated from playoff contention in Week 15, but the loss of Patrick Mahomes to an ACL tear was the biggest story heading into last week.

Gardner Minshew got the start for the Chiefs, before ultimately suffering a knee injury of his own in their Week 16 tilt against the Tennessee Titans.

Chris Oladokun, a 2022 seventh-round pick of the Steelers, came into the game to replace Minshew and completed 11-of-16 passes for 111 yards.

Oladokun is likely to make his first career start against one of the best defensive units in all of football that has allowed just 291.6 yards per game.

Texans vs. Chargers

The action continues into Saturday with C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans kicking off a doubleheader against the Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Watch the Texans take on the Chargers LIVE Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT on TSN5, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

Houston (10-5) has turned their season around with an eight-game winning streak, and are now in prime position to make the playoffs following an 0-3 start.

The Texans sneaked by the lowly Las Vegas Raiders last week in a 23-21 victory, and now have a chance to 98 per cent chance to make the playoffs, and an outside shot of winning the AFC South at 22.8 per cent.

Los Angeles (11-4) took down the Cowboys for their fourth straight win last week, and clinched a playoff spot with the Indianapolis Colts’ loss on Monday Night Football.

The Chargers trail the Broncos by one game heading into Week 17, and have a 32.9 per cent chance to win the division, and the fourth-best odds to win the AFC at 5.6 per cent.

Ravens vs. Packers

Saturday’s action ends off with Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens visit Lambeau Field for a matchup against Josh Jacobs and the Green Bay Packers.

Watch the Ravens face off against the Packers LIVE Saturday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on TSN4/5, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

Baltimore (7-8) is coming off of a tight 28-24 loss to the Patriots on Sunday Night Football, and are now in dire need of a win to stay in the race for the postseason.

Henry ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort, and could be asked to shoulder the load once again for the Ravens with Lamar Jackson’s status uncertain heading into Saturday.

Jackson left Sunday’s game with a back contusion, and is currently listed as questionable for the contest, although the two-time MVP did say he hopes to play against the Packers.

A loss or tie against Green Bay would guarantee the Steelers the title in the AFC North, ending Baltimore’s slim hopes for a playoff spot.

The Packers (9-5-1) could also be without their quarterback in Week 17 after Jordan Love sustained a concussion in their loss to the Chicago Bears last time out.

To make matters even worse, backup quarterback Malik Willis also suffered injury last week, and is also listed as questionable.

Green Bay has a 92.7 per cent chance at a playoff berth, but the division title would secure them an important home playoff date in the wild card round.

Jaguars vs. Colts

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars continue their chase for the No. 1 seed in the AFC as they take on Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts in an AFC South matchup.

Watch the Jaguars visit the Colts LIVE Sunday at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on TSN4, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

Jacksonville (11-4) have been one of the hottest teams in all of football and are currently riding a six-game winning streak into Sunday’s game against the Colts.

Lawrence is currently in the midst of one of the strongest stretches of play in his career, throwing for at least 229 yards with multiple scores in each of his past five games.

The Jaguars locked up a playoff spot with the Colts’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, and now turn their attention to the AFC South title.

Indianapolis (8-7) have now lost five consecutive games coming out of their bye week, and have just a 2.0 per cent chance to make the playoffs after starting the season 8-2.

Rivers was brought out of retirement after Daniel Jones sustained a torn Achilles in Week 14, and has been solid for Indy while Anthony Richardson remains sidelined.

The future Hall of Fame threw for 277 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the loss to San Francisco, but the Colts have fallen in both of his starts this season as the playoff continue to look more and more unlikely for the Colts.

Buccaneers vs. Dolphins on TSN+

Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to stay in the hunt for the NFC South against Quinn Ewers and the Miami Dolphins.

Tampa Bay (7-8) fell in a crucial tilt against the Carolina Panthers last week, their sixth loss in their past seven games, but the Buccaneers still control their own destiny in the division.

If the Bucs are able to win their final two games – including a rematch with the Panthers in Week 18 – Tampa Bay will win the NFC South for the fifth straight year and book their ticket to the playoffs.

“We have to win out to win the division and get into the playoffs. It’s as clear as it can be,” Mayfield said after the loss to the Panthers last week. “Too many penalties on offence. Just keep shooting ourselves in the foot and got to finish with seven in the red zone instead of three. Same story, different day.”

The Dolphins (6-9) have already been eliminated from playoff contention, but the team still made headlines last week by benching quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in favour of Quinn Ewers.

Ewers completed 66.7 per cent of his passes for 260 yards, but ultimately threw two interceptions in a 45-21 beatdown at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals.

The rookie out of Texas will once again get the start for Mike McDaniel’s team as the Dolphins continue to mull through their options under centre ahead of next season.

Giants vs. Raiders

Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants head to the Sin City for a meeting against Ashton Jeanty and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Both New York (2-13) and Las Vegas (2-13) are well out of the playoff picture at this point in the year, but Dart and Jeanty matchup for the first time in the NFL since being taken in the first round of the draft last year.

Dart struggled to the tune of just 33 passing yards and an interception in the Giants’ 16-13 loss to the Vikings last time out, but will look to get things back on track for a positive end to an impressive rookie season.

The Raiders have lost their past nine games, but came close to an improbable upset of the Texans last week.

Jeanty broke out for just his second 100-yard rushing game of the year since being take sixth overall, also finding the end zone for his fifth score of the season.

Bears vs. 49ers

Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears look to lock up the NFC North title with a win over Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football.

Watch the Bears battle the 49ers LIVE Sunday at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. ET across the TSN Network, streaming on TSN.ca and the TSN App.

Chicago (11-4) have been a revelation in Ben Johnson’s first season as head coach, and have already secured their first playoff berth since 2020 thanks in part to last week’s thrilling overtime win over the Packers.

Down 16-6 with under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Williams engineered three scoring drives – including a walk-off touchdown to DJ Moore in overtime – to complete the comeback. Detroit’s loss to Pittsburgh would later officially get the Bears into the playoffs.

Johnson’s presence on the Chicago sideline has seemingly unlocked Williams’ potential as the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, and the pair now have the Bears primed for a deep playoff run.

Chicago still has a chance at the No. 1 seed in the NFC at 11.9 per cent, but will need help in each of the last two weeks while winning out the remainder of their schedule.

San Francisco (11-4) stayed hot with a fifth straight win in Week 16, a 48-27 rout of the Colts, behind the strong play of Brock Purdy.

Purdy set a career-high mark with five touchdowns, also throwing for 295 yards in the rout of the Colts.

With the win, the Niners have carved out a realistic shot to take the top spot in the conference.

San Francisco would need to take Sunday night’s tilt against the Bears, before defeating the Seattle Seahawks in a pivotal Week 18 clash for a first-round bye and home-field advantage through the playoffs.

Rams vs. Falcons

Week 17 comes to a close with Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams heading to Atlanta for a matchup against Bijan Robinson and the Falcons.

Watch the Rams take on the Falcons LIVE Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT on TSN3, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

Los Angeles (11-4) blew a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter to the Seattle Seahawks last time out, before eventually losing in overtime on a walk-off two-point conversion to Eric Saubert.

The Rams would lose the top spot in both the conference and the division to Seattle, muddying the waters in the NFC even more than they already were.

Stafford threw for 457 yards and three touchdowns to strengthen his MVP candidacy down the stretch, but it wouldn’t be enough for L.A. as they fell all the way down to fifth in the conference. They now have just a 14.8 per cent chance of clinching the No. 1 seed.

Atlanta (6-9) has already been eliminated as part of another disappointing season, but have won two games in a row as they look to play spoiler on Monday night.

Robinson had another standout performance in the win over the Arizona Cardinals last week, recording 168 yards from scrimmage while finding the end zone for the ninth time this year.

Kirk Cousins has played well of late since taking over under centre with Michael Penix Jr on the shelf for the remainder of the year, and will look to keep things going as he showcases his talents to quarterback-needy teams for next season.
