Instead, the singer and actress found herself getting roasted online for posting a selfie many claimed she altered using a photo editing tool on her phone.

In the snap, the bedazzled 56-year-old was seen with her hair pulled back as she posed in a red dress that boasted a plunging neckline.

“Merry Christmas one and all!” a smiling Lopez captioned her photo that was viewed more than 20 million times.

But her well wishes were brushed aside quickly by followers who accused Lopez of Photoshopping her picture when they noticed her orange iPhone appeared to be curved, implying that it had been modified.

“I can’t unsee that curved iPhone,” one person wrote, kickstarting the debate over “filters gone rogue.”

“How’d you get the phone to bend like that?” another asked innocently, with a second questioning: “Why is your iPhone doing Bend It Like Beckham?”

One critic declared Lopez the “Xmas flopqueen,” while another swiped, “Getting poor at the filter game in your old age JLo.”

X’s Grok chatbot said that the photo was warped “due to possible lens distortion from the selfie camera or image editing effects.”

Others brushed off the gaffe, wishing Lopez a happy holiday and all the best in the new year.

One person offered a helpful tip for Lopez heading into 2026. “I love you, girl. But you’ve got to double check for unintended distortion in any photo you edit – before posting,” they suggested.

Lopez didn’t ask Santa to deliver her Mr. Right for Christmas

Nearly a year after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, Lopez wasn’t hoping Mr. Right would come knocking on her door during the holidays.

According to a newly published report by PEOPLE, Lopez is “not dating” and her life nowadays is “all about work and the kids” (she shares 17-year-old twins Maximilian “Max” David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz with her ex-husband Marc Anthony).

“She seems happy and content,” a source told the outlet this month.

After her split from Affleck, Lopez told comedienne Nikki Glaser she was looking forward to being single again.

“Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own,” Lopez said in October 2024. “Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f***ing do when it’s just me flying on my own … what if I’m just free?”

Speaking to Howard Stern earlier this fall, the mother of two insisted that she wasn’t the problem during her four failed marriages.

“I learned that it’s not that I’m not lovable, it’s that they’re not capable … They don’t have it in them,” Lopez said. “They need to appreciate the little person inside of them. They need to love them.”

Lopez also told Stern that getting divorced from Affleck last year “was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

“Now I’m able to sit here in a much more self-assured, self-aware way of the things that have happened to me … how I learned to love, how I felt neglected — all the things that are in your head as a person — and know who I am and just really appreciate that person,” she said. “(I) feel really comfortable and good in being myself, all the good parts and all the kind of complicated things.”
