Herceg was the starting keeper when the Green won the 2025 USL2 National Championship. Herceg was selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft back in December. He was taken 16th overall by FC Dallas. UVM is returning a netminder with a long list of accolades. He was the starting goalie as a freshman for the 2024 national championship team on the men’s soccer pitch. He earned the America East’s Goalkeeper of the Year and was a MAC Herman semifinalist during his sophomore season. Herceg helped the Catamounts earn back-to-back America East Conference championship titles and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament before Vermont lost in the second round of the tourney in overtime against Hofstra University.
