P.J. Walker made his CFL debut on Thursday night, but it came in a losing effort, as the Stampeders fell to the Redblacks 31-11 in Ottawa.
The Stamps fall to 5-3 on the season while the Redblacks now sit at 2-6.

Stamps starting quarterback P.J. Walker drove down into scoring position on the Stamps third drive of the game following punts both ways to start. It led to a 37 yard field-goal from Rene Paredes, the 600th of his career, to open the scoring.

That would be the score following 15 minutes of play.
It didn’t take long for the Redblacks to get on the board in the second-quarter. They struck through the air on the very first play of the quarter to make the score 7-3.
Ottawa was able to add a short field-goal on their next drive to extend the lead with 5:42 remaining until halftime.
The Redblacks would add another major on a short passing play.
Calgary was driving late in the second-quarter but Walker was intercepted for the second time in the half, deep in Ottawa territory.
The score was 17-3 Redblacks heading into the break.
Jaydon Grant got things started nicely for the Stamps in the second-half snatching a high pass out of the air for the interception to get the ball quickly to his offence.

It would lead to a rouge on a missed field-goal to add one point to the Stampeders total.
The Stamps defence got the ball back thanks to back-to-back sacks from Folarin Orimolade and Miles Brown to end the Redblacks drive and force a punt.

That would be all the scoring for the third-quarter sending the game to the fourth with a 17-4 Ottawa lead.
Ottawa scored their third major of the night on a pick-six to extend their lead with 9:39 remaining in the game.
Walker fired a ball into the hands of Dominique Rhymes, who got into the endzone, marking his first passing TD in the CFL with 5:50 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Redblacks would add a late TD to make the final score 31-11.
