VICTORIA, Texas- Victoria East and Hallettsville girls soccer teams opened the season with positive results in non-district action on Tuesday.

The  Hallettsville Lady Brahmas earned a home victory over Caldwell, winning 3–2 to start the season 1–0.

Meanwhile, the Lady Titans opened play at the Blue Bell Invitational with a 1–1 draw against Alief Hastings. Goalkeeper Lydia Traxler anchored the defense with five saves, while Gabby Castro scored the Titans’ lone goal. Molly McWha was credited with the assist.

Victoria East continues Blue Bell Invitational play tomorrow afternoon at Brenham High School. While Halletsville is scheduled to compete in the Rice Consolidated Tournament from January 8–10.
