The Caribbean boxing spotlight is firmly fixed on Georgetown as the countdown intensifies toward the Caribbean Boxing Organisation showpiece card, scheduled for Saturday, January 24 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Preparations for the highly anticipated event shifted into higher gear on Friday when organisers signed contracts with all local fighters during a ceremony at the Windjammer Hotel, officially locking in Guyana’s leg of the regional circuit. The January 24 card will feature eight scheduled bouts and serves as the opening stop of a wider Caribbean series, with similar events set to roll out across other territories throughout 2026.
Headlining the night will be unbeaten Guyanese international Keevin Allicock, who is slated to face Suriname’s Samuel Greene in a featherweight main event that pits youth, speed, and ambition against regional resistance. Allicock, who continues to build a reputation as one of Guyana’s brightest boxing prospects, will put his unblemished international record on the line in what is expected to be a stern test.
