The City of Hamilton has received an application to turn a parcel of farmland in the Copetown area into a golf course.
The property on Concession 2 Road West, near the corner of Concession 2 Road West and Highway 52, is close to Copetown Woods and Flamborough Hills golf courses.
Map shows where a proposed golf course would sit in the Copetown area of Hamilton.
Arcadis Professional Services is asking the city to change the Rural Hamilton Official Plan to allow the golf course. The land is currently designated for agriculture and conservation.
The project is still in its early stages and Hamilton has issued a notice inviting public feedback, which must be submitted by Jan. 26.
