Castor Elks announce winners of annual Boxing Day draw

The Castor Elks have announced the winner of their 2025 Boxing Day Draw.

Jeff Biberdorf won $1,000, Bill Weber won $500 and Karen Simpson won $300.

The longstanding draw has been run by the Castor Elks since 1976, with the winners initially having the choice between taking the cash or winning a trip.

As no one ever chose the trip, it was eventually abandoned in favour of just doing a cash draw.

Only 300 tickets for the draw are sold, and the Elks organization earns around $1,000 in profit every year, with the funds raised remaining in Castor and the immediate area.

According to 2024 numbers, the Elks have donated around $48,000 raised from the draw back to Castor community groups since the beginning.
