We have more on Chris Jericho and his current status with both WWE and AEW ahead of tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

In recent weeks, speculation has reached a fever pitch regarding former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho returning to WWE. With some reports going as far as to say he could debut as soon as tonight’s episode of RAW.

So what is the latest on this situation ahead of tonight’s show?

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), memos in AEW went out today regarding the expirations of multiple talent contracts, but Jericho wasn’t among them. Despite that, AEW reps haven’t responded to him regarding Jericho’s current status with the company.

Sources have told Sapp that the relationship between Jericho and AEW is “great.” However, they understood that the general AEW audience had grown tired of him, which led to his exit from weekly programming in mid-2025.

As for WWE, sources claim that Jericho’s name hasn’t been brought up in creative meetings as of yet, and he wasn’t factored into tonight’s show based on things that they’ve seen. Though one source joked to Sapp that it wouldn’t be the first time they’ve been worked.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
