In 2025, I reviewed the very cool Xreal One augmented reality (AR) glasses, which I called the traveller’s best friend. However, the AR glasses company has upped its game with the new Xreal 1s.

The Xreal 1s is a mid-generation refresh designed to replace the Xreal One at a more affordable price. The Xreal 1S delivers an immersive, cinema-grade experience and can project an average 171-inch spatial screen, while increasing its specs compared to the predecessor.

The Xreal 1s increases its resolution to 1200p and increases its brightness from 600 nits to 700 nits, and increases standard RGB from 100 to 108 per cent, as well as a field of view increase from 50 degrees to 52 degrees and supports 120Hz max refresh rate. Additionally, the Xreal 1S supports Sound by Bose technology, and it offers the X1 spatial computing chip.

It is even a bit more affordable than the Xreal One, down from US$499 to $449 (C$687 to $618). The Xreal 1S is now available on Amazon in the U.S.; Canadian availability is unclear.
