Toronto police are trying to identify a suspect who they say stabbed two people in separate unprovoked attacks in Toronto’s west end on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to the underground mezzanine level of Dufferin Station, near Bloor and Dufferin streets, at around 4:30 p.m.
Police allege that a suspect approached a victim from behind, assaulted them with an edged weapon, and fled the subway station on foot.
Just moments later, police said, the suspect attacked a second victim in the area of Bloor Street West and Pauline Avenue.
Both assaults, police said, were unprovoked and the suspect and victims did not know one another.
The two victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Images of the suspect have now been released, police said.
