Hamilton Tiger-Cats punter Nik Constantinou is expected to sign with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, according to TSN’s Dave Naylor.
Per the CFL transactions wire, the Australian has been released by Hamilton to pursue the opportunity.
Constantinou worked out with two NFL teams prior to signing, completing visits with the Browns themselves and the New Orleans Saints.
Should the punter be released by the Browns, the Tiger-Cats will hold his exclusive playing rights.
The fifth overall pick in the 2024 CFL Global Draft, Constantinou booted the ball away 90 times for 4,343 yards with an average of 48.3 yards per kick in 2025.
In his rookie season in 2024, the 26-year-old punted 102 times for 4,803 yards with an average of 47.1 yards per punt.
