We are underway with our first of two interim title fights tonight. It’s southpaw-orthodox again as Herrera, the left-hander, eats a partially landed overhand right early in the second minute. A combination from Fury in the final 30 seconds forces the referee to halt the action. Greenwood wasn’t really in trouble, but the fight was very one-sided, and so the referee decided he had seen enough and halted the bout.

Action is lulling in this, the third round. Fury’s left hand and body shots are still the highlights, as Greenwood is less forceful with his pressure. Fury is dominating now, and Greenwood could be there for the taking. Fury’s combination has busted Greenwood’s face up. Right hook knocks back the head in the final 30 seconds, and so does a left hand. Fury might be better suited to Cruiserweight/Bridgerweight, the commentary team believes, due to his lack of power and strength at heavyweight.

It’s a southpaw-orthodox battle as the left-hander Fury towers over Greenwood. A couple of one-twos from Fury are blocked. Nice jab gets through, though. Greenwood walks into a left hand and now a right hook. Fury is bossing things at range; Greenwood can’t break the gap without walking into fast combinations. Tiafack begins Round 2 behind the jab, which was successful in the opener. A nice body shot and a short left hook score. Tiafack is looking for angles so he can power in right and left hooks to Cwik’s rather large torso. Short right hand lands — and another.
