The year 2026 is off to a positive start for Moïse Kouamé, a top prospect in French men’s tennis.
Entered this week in the M25 Futures tournament in Hazebrouck, the 16-year-old player, ranked 833rd, managed to triumph for the first time in his career on the professional circuit.
A significant leap in the rankings
In the final this Sunday, he defeated his compatriot Theo Papamalis with a score of 7-6, 6-1. Thanks to this first-ever ITF title, Kouamé will break into the ATP top 650. He has already been, for many months, the youngest player to be among the world’s top 1000 players.
