Tyson Fury is fat and out of shape … according to his father John Fury.
John has been in and out of Tyson’s fight camps for years, taking credit when his son wins and blaming others when his son loses. While “The Gypsy King” has announced his return to fighting in 2026, it’s still not clear what role his father will play on whatever team Tyson puts together. But John says he’ll be right there with his son getting him prepared properly for one final championship run.
“I am going to be more involved this time,” Fury Sr. told Goldstar Promotions. “And hear this: Father and son … Tyson’s going to win the heavyweight championship for the third time, and you can bank your f-cking money on that!”
The Fury family patriarch didn’t mince words when it came to a recent training video showing Tyson with rolls of fat spilling out over his shorts.
“He’s not in fantastic shape, that’s bullsh-t,” John admitted. “But he will be. Have another look at him, because when I go out in the next week, there will be no more of this internet bullsh-t, every move on the internet. Head down, work, and get a body. Learn to move again. Learn to twist and be awkward. Herky jerky. Look like a fighter, man. Look like a warrior. He’ll look like a f-cking Spartan by April, and he will be heavyweight champion of the world again.”
“It does matter. It f-cking does matter,” John declared. “If it’s muscle, it does not matter. If it is fat, it matters. Anybody will tell you that. But listen, we know where we are going. I know where he went wrong. I know. And we are going to put it right. And if I’m wrong, I’ll walk through London, main street, with no trousers on and I’ll eat out a f-cking donkey.”
Ah, John Fury. Forever a poet.
