The Pura 80 Pro’s main camera impresses across the board in our review. The 50 MP sensor in 1-inch format features optical image stabilization and a variable aperture ranging from f/1.6 to f/4.0. As a result, the Huawei phone produces excellent sharpness in our test shots and a high dynamic range in daylight and low light conditions.
The very good image quality is offset by shortcomings in the video functions, and the ultra-wide-angle and telephoto cameras also lag significantly behind in terms of quality. You can view all test photos here.Â
For a recommended retail price of over $1,000, there are currently many alternatives on the market, such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, OnePlus 15 or Galaxy S25+, which have a clear advantage in terms of software and connectivity. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro is therefore more suitable for Huawei fans who are willing to compromise.
