Several heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe join forces in official Avengers art. 2026 will finally see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes reuniting, as the Avengers: Doomsday cast will be taking the spotlight this December.

Ryan Meinerding, who works as Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development, has created new artwork that will be seen in Japanese movie theaters throughout the year. Check it out below:

The artist gave the following statement: “I’m so excited to finally be able to unveil the art I designed for AEON Cinema. This art celebrates Marvel Studios’ nearly 20-year history with iconic characters. To dispel any speculation, this has nothing to do with ‘Avengers: Doomsday’! I drew my favorite Marvel characters, and I hope Japanese movie fans will enjoy it.”

The marketing for the Phase 6 installment is underway, as Marvel Studios has been showing footage of the film since December 2025. Through four separate videos, the larger Avengers: Doomsday story has been teased, including the confirmation of Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers.

The team-up film will see the return of Robert Downey Jr., however, not as Tony Stark. Instead, the Iron Man actor will portray Doctor Doom, one of Marvel’s ultimate villains, following his brief debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The Marvel Studios project is also bringing back multiple X-Men actors from the Fox-Marvel era, including Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart’s Magneto and Professor X. New heroes from the MCU timeline, like Shang-Chi, are also getting to take part in Avengers: Doomsday. However, Avengers: Doomsday isn’t the only Avengers installment for Phase 6, as there is one more coming up. Set to start filming this summer, Avengers: Secret Wars, slated for December 2027, will wrap up The Multiverse Saga.

Avengers. Doomsday opens in theaters on December 18.
