As these pictures illustrate, such a punch hole would increase the usable display area compared to the iPhone 17 Pro. However, punch holes positioned in a corner of the screen are currently not really on-trend, as most smartphones on the market put the selfie camera in the center of the display. A few years ago, this type of punch hole was far more common and could be found in many Android smartphones such as the Honor View 20.

As a result, the design may appear somewhat dated, but it could also allow the Apple iPhone 18 Pro to stand out from most competing smartphones. According to these concept images, the rest of the design remains largely unchanged, which aligns with previous rumors. Furthermore, the images show the smartphone in two new color options unofficially called “Coffee” and “Purple”. It remains unknown if Apple will actually offer these color choices. The iPhone 18 series is expected to debut in September 2026.
