J.T. Realmuto is staying in Philadelphia.
The catcher re-signed with the Phillies on a three-year, $45-million deal on Friday, per multiple reports.
The deal keeps Realmuto with the Phillies for an eighth straight season.
Realmuto, 34, slashed .257/.315/.384 with 12 home runs over 134 games for the Phillies in 2025.
Originally drafted by the Marlins, Realmuto joined the Phillies in 2018 after five seasons in Miami.
Realmuto was an NL all-star with the Phillies in 2019 and 2021.
The move comes shortly after the Phillies missed out on Bo Bichette, who signed a three-year, $126-million deal with the Mets on Friday.
Philadelphia was reported to be one of the favourites for Bichette’s services.
