Adarius Pickett is back with the Boatmen.
The Toronto Argonauts announced the signing of the 29-year-old defensive back on Friday, days after his release from the Ottawa Redblacks. The UCLA product spent the 2023 season with the team where he was the East nominee for Outstanding Defensive Player.
A native of Berkeley, CA, Pickett spent the past two seasons in the nation’s capital. He appeared in 18 games for the team last season, recording 84 defensive tackles, 14 special teams tackles, two sacks and a pick. He was named a CFL East All-Star for a third consecutive season.
For his career, Pickett has appeared in 79 games over five seasons with the Redblacks, Argos and Montreal Alouettes. He’s recorded 337 defensive tackles, 66 special teams tackles, 14 sacks and four interceptions.
Outside of the CFL, Pickett has spent time on the practice rosters of the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots.
