On Claude Giroux…I continue to hear that both the Penguins and Flyers are poking around. At this point, I believe Pittsburgh has the better chance and is more likely to give up a larger return, as they are firmly in a win…now mode. Philadelphia, on the other hand, can afford to be more patient. Despite the bitter rivalry between the two teams, Sidney Crosby and Claude Giroux remain very good friends.

On Andrew Mangiapane…One of my favorite players. I honestly think his lack of fit in Edmonton has more to do with the Oilers’ hierarchy than his actual play. There is no doubt the Maple Leafs are still discussing a potential Morgan Rielly–centered swap, but I also strongly believe the New Jersey Devils—who are searching for a spark—are involved in these talks as well.

On Rasmus Andersson…Vegas and Detroit are the top two suitors in my opinion, with Vegas currently the favorite. Dallas and Los Angeles are also lingering. The challenge with Andersson is that he has made it clear he intends to test free agency no matter where he is traded—meaning no extension and a pure rental. The big question: how much are teams willing to give up for that?

Here is the updated chart.
