The Stanley Cup will be coming to several Lac La Ronge Indian Band communities next month.
The visit has been arranged in partnership with the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre (JRMCC) and Inspire 365.

JRMCC Director of Sports and Recreation Kevin Roberts explained while the itinerary isn’t expected to be finalized until Monday, the visit will take place from Feb. 5 to 8.
In conjunction with the visit, former NHLers Bryan Trottier and Rich Pilon will be participating in speaking engagements with local schools, community visits, as well as a meet-and-greet prior to the Feb. 7 Ice Wolves game against the Nipawin Hawks.
A community breakfast will be held Feb. 8, which will include the NHLers and photos with the Stanley Cup. The visit is part of a new initiative called Hockey and Health Days, which aims to bring together hockey, mental health, and community members.
Trottier spent 18 seasons in the NHL playing for the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins, while Pilon spent 15 years playing for the Islanders, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues.
