Mobile operator 3 has launched a commercial 5G Standalone network in Sweden using technology from Ericsson.

The launch took place in December 2025 following extensive testing.

The network is expected to deliver improved capacity, lower latency, and support for network slicing for enterprise customers, as well as fixed wireless broadband in urban areas. No financial details regarding the order have been disclosed.
