Walliser has become somewhat famous himself on red carpets for his famed Glambot, in which celebrities do a quick pose or action for his camera which he then slows down to give a cool finished product.

Jennifer Lopez Avoided Eye Contact And Hardly Spoke To Glambot King Cole Walliser While Getting Her Shot At The Golden Globes, And People Are Truly Appalled pic.twitter.com/olhYg6A8bq
— Dr. CZ (@AngelMD1103) January 18, 2026Rude or rushed?
The stars who take part usually greet and chat with Walliser, some with more familiarity and appreciation than others; however, Lopez’s less courteous actions were blasted when the Glambot director released her video online.
After exchanging the bare mimimum of pleasantries and making zero eye contact, J.Lo stood on the mark, did her pose, then turned on her heel and gave a wave without looking back.
Nonetheless, Walliser was a pro, praising her in his Instagram post.
“The Queen JLO!! She walked the carpet so close to it closing (it might have technically been closed at that point), so I was happy she was able to quickly stop,” he wrote. “No messing around — just wham, bam, thank you, GLAM!”
The internet was not impressed
However, the comments were unanimous and people were quick to weigh in on her “rude” and “awful” behaviour.
“My favourite part was when she didn’t look at, speak to, or smile at you,” comedian Jaime French wrote.
Another commenter asked, “Jesus Cole, did Jlo even speak a word to you?”

Many noted her “reputation of being rude,” with one person adding, “So the rumours are true.”
Others simply called Walliser a “sweetheart” and a “class act.”
Actress Holly Robinson Peete commented: “You’re so kind! People always look forward to interfacing with you. Not everybody is super friendly though. Did she even say hello?”
Walliser clears the air
Nearly a week later, Walliser addressed the criticism against the Hustlers star in an Instagram post, claiming he took no offence to Lopez’s apparent frostiness.
The Canadian began by saying he is always asked about the “worst” Glambot subjects and who was mean or rude to him before turning his attention to the singer.
“There was only one other person outside that conversation with J. Lo and that person was me.”
He insisted: “I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment. I think there’s a couple things that added to the fuel of this idea,” before going on to explain.
“One, she’s just down to business. The carpet was closed. She’s ready to go inside. She knew what she was gonna do. She got into the position. It’s just unfortunate that the position was she was facing away from me.”

Walliser continued: “So, I am talking to her, she is looking away, but she’s getting ready for the move. In the moment, I’m not like, ‘Hey, turn around and look.’ I knew what she was doing.”
He also posted Glambot videos of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams, and Blackpink’s Lisa.
Wallister went on to say how “insane” red carpet events are, and that while celebrities are there to do a job, he pointed out that his Glambot feature is “completely elective.”
“Nobody’s forcing you to do these things,” he detailed. “If you want to do it, you can. If you’re in a bad attitude and don’t want to do it, you don’t have to do it.”
Walliser added: “Anyone who stops, I already liked you because you’re taking the time to do my thing and this is generous of you.”
