Hailie Deegan is making a return to NASCAR with Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) in the ARCA Menards Series West.

The 24-year-old driver will compete in all 13 rounds in the No. 16 Chevrolet SS. Having previously raced in the series in 2018-2019, where she accumulated 13 top-five finishes and 23 top-10 finishes in 28 races, Deegan will be looking to fight for her first championship title.

“I couldn’t be more excited to reunite with Bill [McAnally] and the BMR team,” Deegan said. “I’ve been away from stock cars for a bit but am focused on coming back stronger and competing for wins and a championship. Having Columbia Bank and Monster Energy on board and working with NAPA Auto Care again is going to be a thrill, and our goal is to get them to victory lane multiple times this year.”

She added in a social media post: “Back where it all started with BMR NASCAR. Going to be racing full-time in the ARCA Menards Series West in the No. 16 Chevrolet along with a few NASCAR Truck Series races. Excited to get this season started!”

McAnally added: “Having Hailie back on our team is incredibly special. We enjoyed working together several years ago and won some races. I see the commitment she has for competing at this level and we want to be part of her success. She has the knowledge of winning out West, and we have a great chance to chase our 12th title with her and Mason Massey in the fold.”

Fans were quick to share their excitement for the California-born driver. “YAY welcome back girl we missed you!” one fan commented, while another added: “That’s great news Hailie, hope to see at Daytona International Speedway.”

Someone else wrote: “Congrats on moving into a Chevy. I think there’s a lot more opportunities in Chevrolet to drive than Ford across all series- who knows we may say you drive for JRM someday.”

In addition to her outing in the ARCA Menards Series West, Deegan will also be racing part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. She previously raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (now known as the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series) and in the Indy NXT Series.
