CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women’s tennis (2-0) defeated Boston University (1-1), 4-1, in a crosstown battle this morning at the Murr Center.

BU appeared in control of doubles to start as it led 4-1 and 5-1 at court two and three, respectively.  The Terriers were able to close out the match at the No. 3 spot but Kavya Karra and Kate Kim swung the momentum of the match by rattling off five straight games to win 6-4 on court two.  Natalie Block and Stephanie Yakoff then secured the doubles point with another 6-4 win on the top court.

BU’s only point of the day came off a retirement on court two early in the first set, otherwise the Crimson controlled play in singles.  Kim struck first with a strong 6-4, 6-2 result over Emily Zhao (BU) on court five.

Her doubles partner, Karra, followed closely behind with her own dominant victory at the No. 4 spot.  Karra won her 10th match of the 2025-26 season as she cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Blanka DeMicheli (BU).

Andra Braicu ultimately solidified the win for the Crimson with her second win in as many matches, defeating Rhea Rai in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
