PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – The Portland Fire announced Tuesday that financial technology company Chime will serve as one of its jersey sponsors for the team’s inaugural WNBA season this spring.
Chime was named as the team’s Official Bank and Credit Partner on Tuesday. Chime’s logo will be featured on the left shoulder of all three editions of the Fire’s 2026 jerseys.
Interim President Clare Hamill said the partnership will “shape a modern franchise rooted in values, community, and long-term impact.”
“Chime understands that with the return of the Portland Fire comes a responsibility to honor our history while intentionally building for the future,” said Hamill.
The Portland Fire will open their 2026 season at home May 9 against the Chicago Sky, marking the franchise’s return to the WNBA after a 24-year absence.
As part of the partnership, Chime members will have access to the new Chime Lane, a VIP entrance at Moda Center, and Chime Club, which offers exclusive merchandise, curated food and beverage offerings, special guest appearances and more.
The Fire is set to tip off its first season this spring as the WNBA’s newest franchise.
