I know we always say “Love is dead” when a celebrity couple we like breaks up, but this one is different. How often is a supermodel falling in love with a literal cowboy she met at a horse show? I wanted to believe in a real-life Hallmark-movie romance, but according to Entertainment Tonight, it was not meant to be: Bella Hadid and professional equestrian Adan Banuelos have reportedly broken up after more than two years together.
“Bella is doing her best to stay positive and distract herself since their split,” a source told ET. “She’s been staying busy with work and spending time with close friends. She is still processing the breakup since it was a very serious relationship.” This much is evident to anyone who follows Hadid on Instagram, where she recently posted three photo dumps of what looks like a really fabulous yacht trip with her friends.
“Page Six” reported that the couple had been on-again, off-again but that this official split is going to be more complicated. Apparently, the two have business ties to each other after purchasing “million-dollar horses” together. Annoyingly, you cannot just put your equine assets in a box and tell your ex to pick them up when you’re not home.
RIP to this relationship, and hopefully everyone involved finds their peace. For us onlookers, we’ll always have that time when Hadid and Banuelos cameoed on the same episode of Yellowstone. Ah, memories.
