The Montreal Alouettes announced on Wednesday the signing of American defensive back Thakarius Keyes.

Thakarius Keyes played in 40 games for Tulane from 2016 to 2019, recording 95 total tackles (76 solo, 19 assisted), 19 passes defended, and 2 interceptions.

Keyes was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft and played in 8 games for the Chiefs that season, with 1 start, and recorded 7 solo tackles and 1 assisted.

In 2021, he played in 4 games for the Indianapolis Colts and 1 for the Chicago Bears, recording 1 tackle.

He was waived by Chicago in August of 2022 and spent time on practice squads with the Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, and Baltimore Ravens over the 2022 season. In 2023, he was waived by the Cleveland Browns following an injury.

Keyes played in the UFL in 2024 and 2025 with the San Antonio Brahmas, appearing in 11 games with 7 starts and recording 22 solo tackles and 9 assisted tackles.
