UFC 325 press conference – Hooker tp Saint-Denis: ‘That’s close enough’

Dan Hooker was taking no chances at the UFC 325 press conference where he faced off with opponent Benoit Saint-Denis.

The last time he fought was in Doha, Qatar, where a fired up Arman Tsarukyan headbutted him during face-offs. That headbutt, we recently learned, actually broke Dan’s nose and left him compromised for his fight, which Tsarukyan won via second round arm triangle submission.

So you’ll forgive Hooker if this time he didn’t want to get to close to Saint-Denis as all UFC 325 fighters got their staredowns on in Sydney, Australia.

“That’s close enough,” Hooker told Saint-Denis and UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard. Maynard laughed. Saint-Denis did not.

Featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes kept things respectful and chill for their main event rematch, giving a few moments of serious eye contact before smiling and clasping hands. Volkanovski even gifted Lopes a Cooking with Volk apron!
