Nascar has agreed a new broadcast deal with Fox Corp, which has secured the rights to the North American stock car racing series in Mexico and Latin America.

Key details:Deal covers more than 90 races across the Nascar Cup Series, Nascar O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Nascar Craftsman Truck SeriesPartnership begins on 1st February with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman GrayCoverage also includes the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Context:

Fox is also one of Nascar’s domestic broadcast partners but its previous agreement to cover the series in Mexico expired after the 2025 season.

Mexico is a key international market for Nascar and there is strong local interest in the series due to the involvement of Mexican driver Daniel Suárez, who competes for Spire Motorsports.

Nascar staged the Viva Mexico 250 in Mexico City last season, which marked the country’s inaugural Cup Series event and the first time the organisation had held a points race outside of the US in 67 years. That race was also broadcast in Mexico on Canal 5 after TelevisaUnivision secured exclusive free-to-air (FTA) rights to the event.

However, the race has not returned for the 2026 campaign amid reports of scheduling challenges caused by Mexico co-hosting this year’s Fifa World Cup.

Comment:

Luis Maldonado, executive director of programming and marketing at Fox Latin America, said: “Nascar arrives to complete our motorsports offering and to bring Mexican audiences closer to the great stories of racing, with figures that generate identity and passion, including Daniel Suárez, who will compete in his tenth season in the Nascar Cup.”
