Five of Manitoba’s top draft-eligible players will be representing the Bisons at upcoming CFL Combine events. Receiver Nathan Udoh will represent Manitoba at the national event in Edmonton, while linebacker Nic Pereira, offensive lineman Victor Olaniran, defensive lineman Kaleb Mackie-Mcleod and receiver De Shawn Le Jour are headed to the invitational in Waterloo, held on March 6th. The top prospects identified at that event will advance to Edmonton for the CFL Combine from March 27-29.
Udoh is coming off the best season of his U SPORTS career, earning a direct invite to the national combine after finishing in a tie for fifth in Canada West in receptions (40), and sixth in receiving yards (531). The former of those totals were eighth-most in a season in school history, and the latter tied for the 16th . Udoh also tied the single-game school record for receptions in a regular season contest, with 12 against Saskatchewan on September 13. He has 51 career regular season receptions as a Bison, and 648 regular season receiving yards.Â
Pereira is fresh off a Canada West All-Star season at weak side linebacker, starting every game for the Herd. The physical force led the team with 44.5 tackles, along with two forced fumbles and a pass breakup. A total of 39 of Pereira’s tackles were solo, which ranked third in Canada West, and he is one of just 27 players in school history with over 100 career regular season tackles (106).
Olaniran hasn’t missed a start over the last three seasons for Manitoba on the offensive line. He started all eight games at right tackle in 2024 and 2025, and started seven regular season games and one playoff game in 2023 at right tackle, along with one start at left tackle in week one in 2023. He also helped Manitoba break the school record for rushing yards in a season, with 2,016 in 2024. Manitoba also led Canada West in rushing yards last year, with 1,486.Â
Mackie-Mcleod hasn’t missed a start over his last three years, including the playoffs, suiting up for 27 straight contests at the defensive tackle position. He posted a career-high 26.5 tackles in 2023, and has 58 career regular season tackles over the last three seasons. He’s also recorded a sack in each of the last three campaigns.Â
Le Jour has been a steady presence at receiver for Manitoba since 2022, averaging 12.4 yards per reception for Manitoba, totaling 824 yards overall. His yards per catch average ranks tenth in school history. He recorded a career-high 24 receptions for 305 yards in 2023, and finished the 2025 campaign with 231 yards on 17 grabs and two scores.Â
