The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian quarterback Tre Ford.

3DownNation says the 27-year-old Niagara Falls native has inked a two-year deal with the TiCats.

The Waterloo product and 2021 Hec Crighton Trophy winner was released by Edmonton last Friday.

In 60 games with the Elks, he threw 4,600 yards, 29 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.

The deal comes just as the CFL’s free agency communication window opened, the time when teams can contact pending free agents.
