Shedeur Sanders knows he’s not the typical Pro Bowl quarterback. But in the wake of going from buried on the Cleveland Browns’ depth chart to starting the final seven games of his rookie season to another level of uncertainty with the Browns making a coaching change, Sanders is glad he was available last week to answer the call.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s flag football event that marks the completion of the Pro Bowl Games, Sanders told reporters that he’s grateful for all of the experiences of his rookie season — especially getting the chance to cap it with a Pro Bowl appearance.

“I’ve already gained (a lot) here (just) talking to a lot of great players, seeing Joe Flacco again, just meeting people,” Sanders said. “It’s a great environment. I’m excited to be here.

“This (whole) year is my introduction to life in a different perspective, so I was thankful for it. I was thankful that everything happened how it happened because it helped me out as a person.”
