Eclipses—both lunar eclipse and solar eclipse—make us feel as though it’s now or never. The truth, however, is that we have time to make our decisions. The annular solar eclipse, one of the first two eclipses of 2026, will ignite the sky with vigor on February 17 and March 3. And, yes, they are intense, as most usually are. The good news is that we can get through the stickiness by using the celestial forces to our advantage.

The lunar energy of these eclipses is pushing our emotions to extremes, so prepare yourselves for meltdowns, burnouts, and great awakenings. The only way out is through—enjoy the ride and stay in your lane. Remember, there are two more eclipses coming on August 12 and 28—this is just the beginning!

The Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius: February 17

An annular solar eclipse occurs when the sun, the moon, and the Earth are aligned, creating apogee that leaves a “ring of fire.” Basically, the Moon covers most of the Sun, but not all of it, allowing for it to peak around the edges. The first solar eclipse of the year occurs on February 17, the same day as the Lunar New Year, marking a unique chance to embark on new journeys for the Year of the Fire Horse.

The most shocking event of 2026 is upon us! The solar eclipse in Aquarius is going to rattle us to the core, due to your Uranus in Taurus aspecting the lunar point. Whenever Uranus partakes in a celestial phenomenon, it awakens our hearts and minds to new ways of thinking. Being that Aquarius is a sign that represents humanitarianism and change, we aren’t sitting idly by, we are transforming on a global level.

We are getting rid of the old and embracing a fresh vision. The caveat is that we are stuck in our ways, which means it’s going to be hard to break out of them. The result can be protests, revolutions, and rebellions. The political climate will reach a fever pitch, urging citizens worldwide to stand up for themselves and others. This isn’t a moment of watching matters unfold; it’s a call to action.

The same day, Venus and the North Node of Destiny link up in Pisces, offering us an opportunity to remedy dynamics by rationally and calmly explaining ourselves. We can use this to assert ourselves to implement growth and evolution. We don’t have to resort to bad behavior to make our points known. Choose to heal the world with peace and love. Together, we can do it!

The “Blood Moon” Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo: March 3

The Moon will turn a reddish color on March 3, during the “Blood Moon” total lunar eclipse in Virgo. This occurs when the Moon passes over the Earth’s shadow, and the Sun’s reflection highlights the event, illuminating a reddish tone at the moment of totality.

This lunation connects with the lunar axis, known as the Nodes of Destiny (the North Node is in Pisces and the South Node is in Virgo) and speaks to our karma. We are releasing and reimagining our lives by getting rid of toxic situations that we’ve outgrown. Since this eclipse syncs up with the South Node of Destiny, understanding lessons from the universe is part of our fate. We must listen in order to avoid repeating mistakes.
