Copenhagen-based studio KØGE Design has unveiled the Boxing Ring Lamp 08, a sculptural lighting fixture designed by Imprécis. Taking its name and visual cues from the architecture of a boxing ring, the lamp features a minimalist and industrial framework that balances sharp geometric lines with a translucent core.
The lamp’s construction is defined by a high-contrast material palette, utilizing a robust steel frame that houses a delicate, opalescent diffuser. Four vertical pillars support a series of horizontal elements, mimicking the ropes and posts of its athletic namesake. This structural “cage” does not merely hold the light source but actively shapes it; the integrated LED components emit a filtered, non-glare glow that creates a play of shadows across the surrounding surfaces.
Measuring 29cm x 29cm x 27 cm and priced at $1,729 USD, the Boxing Ring Lamp 081 is available now through KØGE Design’s webstore.
