It looks like another solid acquisition by Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens on offense is starting to take shape. With the 70th overall pick in the 2024 Draft (3rd-round pick), Kent Hughes and his team selected young forward Aatos Koivu.

It initially seemed like a heart-driven pick more than anything else, but now it’s turning out to be a great move by the Canadiens!

Aatos Koivu stole the show at the WJSS

At the summer showcase in preparation for the next World Junior Hockey Championship, Koivu was incredible for Team Finland.

He was efficient, intense, and passionate. Just ask a certain Michael Hage..

In short, over the past few hours, Koivu’s coach had a lot to say about the Montreal Canadiens forward prospect.

He was truly impressed by Koivu.
