The first Fight Night card of the Paramount era, UFC Vegas 113, is officially in the books, and with it, a stellar lineup of amazing bouts. In the main event, Mario Bautista resumed his march toward contention by blowing the hard-hitting Vinicius Oliveira, choking out the Brazilian in the second round.

In the penultimate match of the night, Kyoji Horiguchi raised his current promotional win streak to two in a row by taking out the durable Amir Albazi. Other standout performances include Rizvan Kuniev netting his first UFC victory by besting Jailton Almeida, Dustin Jacoby denying father time again by starching Julius Walker, and Farid Basharat going to war with Jean Matsumoto.

 UFC Vegas 113: Dustin Jacoby def. Julius Walker

Dustin Jacoby

Jacoby’s UFC Vegas 113 win over Walker is his third consecutive victory dating back to 2024. He has finished every single opponent over the course of his current streak by knockout.

16 out of his 22 wins as a professional have come by way of stoppage. He was the oldest fighter to compete on the main card of UFC Vegas 113 at 37 years old.

Julius Walker

Walker’s loss to Jacoby stands as the first finish defeat of his entire mixed martial arts career, including his amateur and professional tenure. His two setbacks have all come against opposition that had at least 20 fights 

Exiting UFC Vegas 113, his UFC record now stands at 1-2.

UFC Vegas 113: Farid Basharat def. Jean Matsumoto

Farid Basharat

Basharat’s win over Matsumoto was his first victory to come by split decision. It was also his eighth to be decided by the scorecards. He has extended his current winning streak to 15 in a row. 

Five of his last seven tilts have taken place in Las Vegas. 

Jean Matsumoto

Matsumoto’s loss to Basharat dropped him from the winner’s circle after previously beating Miles Johns. In his last four Octagon appearances, he has absorbed over 80 significant strikes. Three of those have ended via split decision. 

He is now 4-2 in his last six bouts. 

UFC Vegas 113: Michał Oleksiejczuk def. Marc-André Barriault

Michał Oleksiejczuk

Oleksiejczuk’s win over Barriault is his first win to go the judges since UFC 260 back in 2021, where he trounced Modestas Bukauskas by split decision. It’s also his 32nd contest as a professional since making his debut in 2014.

He has been a part of the UFC roster since 2017 and has won 16 matches by knockout.   

Marc-André Barriault

Barriault’s loss to Oleksiejczuk was his second loss in a row. His appearance at UFC Vegas 113 was also his tenth bout to take place on a Fight Night card.

He has now won three post-fight bonuses in a row, including two Fight of the Night awards. 

UFC Vegas 113: Rizvan Kuniev def. Jailton Almeida

Kuniev’s win over Almeida is his first win in the UFC after falling to Curtis Blaydes at UFC on ABC 8 last summer. He was originally scheduled to face Ryan Spann at the event, but Spann ultimately withdrew from the tilt.

Almeida’s loss to Kuniev is his second consecutive defeat, making it the first time he has lost two scraps in a row. It was also the third time as a professional that he suffered defeat from the scorecards.

His appearance at UFC Vegas 113 was the first time he had competed on a Fight Night Card since 2023 after fighting on four consecutive numbered cards. Almeida’s 31 significant strikes landed against Kuniev were the most he had delivered in a bout in his last four Octagon outings.

Horiguchi’s win over Albazi is his seventh victory in a row. It’s also his 15th to occur stemming from a decision. 

He has seen a third round in his last four bouts. Horiguchi’s appearance at UFC Vegas 113 was his first fight to happen in the United States since his 2022 clash with Patchy Mix at Bellator 279.

His UFC record now stands at a total of 9-1. 

Amir Albazi

Albazi’s meeting with Horiguchi served as his first trip to the cage in over a year since locking horns with Brandon Moreno at UFC Fight Night 246 in November 2024. It also was his third contest against a ranked flyweight contender in a row.

He hasn’t won a fight since June 2023 after beating Kai Kara-France by decision. 

UFC Vegas 113: Mario Bautista def. Vinicius Oliveira

Bautista’s appearance at UFC Vegas 113 was his first time headlining a promotional show. His win over Oliveira brought him back into the win column after previously losing to Umar Nurmagomedov last October at UFC 321

It was his seventh to come via submission and also the third time that the tapout occurred in the second round. He is now 6-1 in his last seven bouts. 

Vinicius Oliveira

His loss to Bautista is his first defeat since 2022 during his pre-UFC run, it was also the first time he had lost a match by submission. He had previously undertaken a six-fight winning streak.

His UFC record now stands at 4-1.
