Ruled out for Monday

George sprained his right ankle during Saturday’s loss to Orlando and will now miss Monday’s game in Miami, which will open up more minutes for Isaiah Collier and Vince Williams. For now, George should be considered highly questionable for Wednesday’s game versus Sacramento, the front end of a back-to-back set.

Part of rotation in team debut

Cleared to make his Jazz debut after he was acquired from the Grizzlies on Tuesday, Konchar was part of the team’s initial 10-man rotation to open the first half of Saturday’s contest. The defensive-minded wing produced well during his time on the court, but Konchar’s minutes could still remain volatile over the final few months of the season. The Jazz are clearly prioritizing player development over wins, and the 29-year-old Konchar may not be part of the club’s long-term plans, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he eventually fell out of the rotation.

Back in lineup Saturday

Nurkic returned from a two-game absence due to illness/rest, moving straight into the starting lineup alongside the newly acquired Jaren Jackson. Utah opted to run with a sizeable lineup, an encouraging sign for anyone rostering Nurkic. With that said, we have already started to see some questionable absences, a situation that could get worse as the season progresses. For now, managers will have to hold Nurkic or try to pass him off while he is still relatively active.
