Suspect in custody
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (August 5, 2025) – As a result of the ongoing investigation into the death of a London man, the London Police Service Major Crime Section has laid a charge against the suspect in custody.
Khamis Toto, 30, of London, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.
Investigators have determined that the accused and the victim were not known to each other.
The accused appeared in court yesterday and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to reappear in London court on August 11, 2025, in relation to the charge.

LONDON, ON (August 3, 2025) – A London man has been arrested after members of the London Police Service responded to a weapons call in the downtown core this afternoon.
Shortly after 1:00 pm, police responded to 9-1-1 calls of a person suffering a stab wound in the area of Colborne Street at Princess Avenue.
Officers located an adult male with serious life-threatening injuries at the scene. The male was transported to hospital by Paramedic Services.
Police were provided with a description of the suspect and learned he fled the area on foot.
A number of officers responded to the area. The suspect was located and arrested a short distance away.
The adult male transported to hospital has been pronounced deceased.
The suspect remains in custody and the investigation has been reassigned to the LPS Major Crime Section.
The investigation is in its early stages, remains ongoing and active, there is no threat to public safety.
