CFL Free Agency is finally here, with the official period opening at 12 p.m. ET on Feb. 10.

While deals were reported during the CFL’s Free Agency Communication Window last week, in which teams openly spoke with any clubs’ pending free agents, no reported agreements can become official until today.

Some players were also given a head start on free agency, with the following big names already joining new teams:

Blue Bombers re-sign Canadian defensive back Nick Hallett to one-year deal

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed Canadian defensive back Nick Hallett to a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old has spent his entire six season career with the Blue Bombers, making 80 special teams tackles (sixth most in franchise history) and 42 defensive tackles in 100 career games.

Hallett appeared in 14 games in 2025, registering two defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles, while adding a forced fumble.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats add National defensive tackle Charbel Dabire

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed National defensive tackle Charbel Dabire.

The 29-year-old has spent the first five seasons of his career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders after being selected in the fifth round (44th overall) of the 2019 CFL Draft.

The 6-0, 300-pound lineman has appeared in 58 regular season games, recording 45 defensive tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.

Ottawa Redblacks sign Canadian linebacker A.J. Allen

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed Canadian linebacker A.J. Allen to a two-year deal through 2027.

Allen had a breakout campaign in 2025, setting career-highs in total tackles (91), sacks (four), interceptions (three) and forced fumbles (three) in 18 games, while also being named the Roughriders’ nominee for Most Outstanding Canadian.

The 27-year-old has spent all four years of his career in Saskatchewan, totaling 170 combined tackles, four sacks, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles in 66 games.

Ottawa Redblacks sign American quarterback Jake Maier to one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American quarterback Jake Maier to a one-year deal.

As the backup to Trevor Harris last season with the Roughriders, Maier completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 617 yards and two touchdowns.

The year prior, the 28-year-old started 15 games for the Calgary Stampeders, completing 72.3 percent of his passes for 3,841 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.

Saskatchewan Roughriders add Global linebacker Tyron Vrede

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Global linebacker Tyron Vrede.

The 6-foot, 230-pound defender has spent the previous five seasons with the Ottawa Redbacks after being selected in the second round of the 2021 CFL Global Draft.

The Norwegian has appeared in 55 regular season games, registering 41 defensive tackles, 35 special teams tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.

Ottawa Redblacks add Global edge Habakkuk Baldonado on one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have added Global edge Habakkuk Baldonado on a one-year deal.

The Rome, Italy native played in all 18 games last season for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, setting career highs in defensive tackles (17) and sacks (four), while also adding one forced fumble and one tackle for loss.

For his career, Baldonado has played in 36 games over three seasons in Saskatchewan, registering 35 total tackles, six sacks, and one forced fumble.

Ottawa Redblacks add Canadian safety Scott Hutter on one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed Canadian safety Scott Hutter to a one-year deal.

Hutter played in eight games for the Montreal Alouettes last season, registering eight total tackles, including seven special teams tackles.

For his career, the London, Ont. native has played in 62 games with the Alouettes and Edmonton Elks (2019-24), posting 115 total tackles and one forced fumble.

Edmonton Elks sign American receiver Joe Robustelli to one-year deal

The Edmonton Elks have sign American receiver Joe Robustelli to a one-year deal through 2026.

The 28-year-old spent the past two seasons with the Roughriders, recording 40 catches for 559 yards and three touchdowns.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats add receiver Keric Wheatfall on two-year agreement

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American wide receiver Keric Wheatfall to a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old has spent the past two seasons as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, recording 55 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns in 23 games.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats, offensive tackle Trevor Reid agree on two-year deal

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American offensive lineman Trevor Reid to a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old spent the 2024 season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, making all 18 starts at left tackle. Reid then signed a reserves/futures contract with the Minnesota Vikings following the season, though he was waived in April of 2025 and was a free agent since.

Ottawa Redblacks, receiver Ayden Eberhardt agree to two-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American receiver Ayden Eberhardt to a two-year deal through 2027.

In 18 games with the BC Lions in 2025, the 27-year-old totaled 45 receptions for 863 yards and four touchdowns.

For his career, Eberhardt has played in 38 games over his three seasons in the CFL with the Lions, registering 91 receptions for 1,571 yards and six touchdowns.

Ottawa Redblacks, running back Greg Bell agree to two-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American running back Greg Bell to a two-year deal through 2027.

Bell is coming off a breakout season in 2025 after taking over the lead-back role with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats halfway through the 2024 season.

Last year, the 27-year-old posted career highs in carries (184), rushing yards (1,038), receptions (62), and receiving yards (426), claiming an East All-CFL nod along the way.

Toronto Argonauts add Americans in defensive back Robert Priester and receiver Andre Miller

The Toronto Argonauts have signed a pair of Americans in defensive back Robert Priester and receiver Andre Miller. Both were with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2025.

Priester played in 15 games last season, recording 27 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.

Miller spent the previous two seasons in the nation’s capital, making 27 catches for 400 yards and four touchdowns.

BC Lions add Canadian linebacker Dawson Pierre on two-year deal

The BC Lions have signed Canadian linebacker Dawson Pierre to a two-year deal through 2027.

The 6’2, 219-pound defender only suited up for 15 games over the past two seasons for the Ottawa Redblacks before being recently released, making five special teams tackles and forcing one fumble.

The 25-year-old was originally a third round pick (22nd overall) by Ottawa in 2024.

Montreal Alouettes add Canadian offensive lineman Braydon Noll

The Montreal Alouettes have signed Canadian offensive lineman Braydon Noll to a one-year deal.

The 6-foot-4, 297-pound lineman has spent the last two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, appearing in 15 games.

The 28-year-old was selected in the fourth round (35th overall) by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2022 CFL Draft, appearing in six games over two years with the franchise.

Toronto Argonauts sign American defensive back DaShaun Amos

The Toronto Argonauts have signed American defensive back DaShaun Amos.

The 6-foot, 190-pound cover man claimed an East All-CFL nod in 2025 in his lone season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, recording 45 defensive tackles, four interceptions, and one fumble recovery in 18 games.

Before Hamilton, Amos played three seasons in Toronto, claiming another East All-CFL nomination in 2024. For his career, the three-time Grey Cup champion has compiled 221 tackles and 20 interceptions in 95 regular-season CFL games.

Toronto Argonauts sign Canadian edge Jonathan Kongbo

The Toronto Argonauts have signed Canadian defensive end Jonathan Kongbo.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound edge played in 16 games for the Edmonton Elks in 2025, tallying six defensive tackles and four sacks.

Over the course of 60 career CFL games with the Elks, Tiger-Cats, and Blue Bombers, Kongbo has compiled 49 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, and eight sacks.

Saskatchewan Roughriders add defensive lineman James Vaughters

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive lineman James Vaughters.

The 32-year-old played in 17 games for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2025, recording 44 tackles, including four tackles for loss, along with six sacks.

Prior to his time in Winnipeg, the lineman had two stints with the Calgary Stampeders. Over 57 games, he tallied 97 defensive tackles, 21 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign American Mario Alford

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed veteran kick returner and receiver Mario Alford.

The 34-year-old spent the 2025 season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, appearing in 11 games and recording 44 punt returns for 476 yards.

The 5-foot-8, 180-pound veteran brings seven seasons of CFL experience, appearing in 74 regular season games and totaling 286 punt returns for 3,278 yards and seven touchdowns.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign Canadian receiver Tyson Middlemost

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian receiver Tyson Middlemost.

The 28-year-old spent the 2025 season with the Edmonton Elks, appearing in 15 games and recording five receptions for 34 yards, along with eight special teams tackles.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound wideout spent the previous four seasons of his career with the Calgary Stampeders, putting up eight catches, for 87 yards and 29 special teams tackles.

Ottawa Redblacks add American defensive tackle Dylan Wynn on one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American defensive tackle Dylan Wynn to a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes, making 38 tackles and one sack in 30 games.

In 107 career games, Wynn has recorded 211 defensive tackles, 30 sacks, and is a three-time East All-CFL member.

Montreal Alouettes add American receiver Jerreth Sterns to one-year deal

The Montreal Alouettes have signed American wide receiver Jerreth Sterns to a one-year deal.

With the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2025, the 26-year-old made 48 catches for 530 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound target started his CFL career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2023. Over two seasons with the team, he made 83 catches for 941 yards and three touchdowns.

BC Lions bring back linebacker Maxime Rouyer on one-year deal

The BC Lions have re-signed National linebacker Maxime Rouyer to a one-year deal.

Rouyer dressed for eight games with the Lions in 2025, making two special teams tackles.

The 31-year-old was originally selected fourth overall in the first round of the 2019 CFL European Draft (later changed to the Global Draft) by the Edmonton Elks. He spent two seasons with the team making 18 appearances.

Ottawa Redblacks sign defensive back C.J. Reavis to one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks and American nickel/safety C.J. Reavis have agreed to a one-year deal.

In 17 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2025, Reavis registered 61 defensive tackles, two sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles.

The 30-year-old has spent his entire four year career in Saskatchewan, playing in 55 games and putting up 209 defensive tackles, nine sacks, two interceptions and six forced fumbles, earning All-CFL honours the past two seasons.

Montreal Alouettes add quarterback Dustin Crum on one-year deal

The Montreal Alouettes have signed American quarterback Dustin Crum to a one-year deal.

The 27-year-old started six games for the Ottawa Redblacks in 2025, completing 70.9 per cent of his passes for 1,771 yards and six touchdowns. The pivot also rushed for 429 yards and a league-leading 11 touchdowns.

In 2023, Crum started 14 games for the Redblacks as a rookie, throwing for 3,109 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing for 741 yards and nine scores.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers, defensive back Jonathan Moxey agree to two-year deal

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed veteran defensive back Jonathan Moxey to a two year contract.

The 30-year-old joins the Blue Bombers after spending the last two years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and prior four seasons with the Calgary Stampeders.

Over the past two season in Hamilton, the 5-foot-9, 188-pound veteran has recorded 64 tackles, five interceptions, and one sack in 32 games.

Ottawa Redblacks sign linebacker Brian Cole II to one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks and American linebacker Brian Cole II have agreed to a one-year deal.

Cole suited up in all 18 games last season for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, registering 22 total tackles, including 19 special teams tackles and one forced fumble.

The 28-year-old has played in 55 games over his five seasons in the CFL, registering 73 total tackles, 43 special teams tackles, one interception, and five forced fumbles.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign Canadian edge Kene Onyeka

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian defensive end Kene Onyeka.

Last season with the Ottawa Redblacks, the 29-year-old recorded one defensive tackle and 11 special teams tackles in 15 games.

The 6-foot-3, 244-pound defensive lineman has spent the past seven seasons in the nation’s capital, appearing in 81 games and totaling 55 defensive tackles, 55 special teams tackles, 11 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign American offensive tackle Eric Lofton

The Tiger-Cats have signed American offensive tackle Eric Lofton.

The 32-year-old has appeared in 40 games over his eight-year CFL career, spending time with the Redblacks, Lions, Elks, Roughriders, and most recently with the Blue Bombers.

The 6-foot-4, 308-pound lineman started all 18 games at right tackle for Winnipeg in 2024, but was limited to just one game in 2025 dealing with a knee injury.

Blue Bombers, Canadian receiver Tommy Nield agree on two-year deal

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Canadian receiver Tommy Nield to a two-year deal.

The 26 year-old had a career year in his lone season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2025, finishing with 42 receptions for 535 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games.

Redblacks sign defensive back Demerio Houston to one-year deal

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American defensive back Demerio Houston to a one-year deal.

Houston played in five games for the Blue Bombers in 2025, recording 17 defensive tackles after joining the team midseason.

The 29-year-old spent the 2024 campaign with the Stampeders after spending the first three seasons of his career with Winnipeg, earning All-CFL honours in 2023 after leading the league in interceptions.

In 45 career CFL games, Houston has made 175 defensive tackles, 14 interceptions, three special teams tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one defensive touchdown.

Stampeders add Canadian wide receiver Dejon Brissett on two-year deal

The Calgary Stampeders have signed Canadian wide receiver Dejon Brissett to a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old wideout is coming off the best season of his career, posting 65 catches for 907 yards and three touchdowns with the Toronto Argonauts last season.

The Mississauga, Ont. native spent five seasons with the Argos after being drafted second overall in the 2020 CFL Draft. Brissett is a two-time Grey Cup champion, including claiming Most Valuable Canadian in the big game in 2024.

Blue Bombers, offensive tackle Jarell Broxton agree on two-year deal

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed offensive tackle Jarell Broxton to a two-year deal. According to TSN’s Farhan Lalji, the deal will pay the 32-year-old $250,000 per year, making him the highest paid American offensive lineman.

The 6-foot-5, 325-pound tackle has been with the BC Lions for the past five seasons and was named BC’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman for the past three seasons.

Stampeders add defensive back Devodric Bynum

The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive back Devodric Bynum.

The 26-year-old spent the first two seasons of his career with the Edmonton Elks, registering 40 tackles and five interceptions across 19 games. Bynum was limited to only five games last season while dealing with a chest injury.

Blue Bombers sign linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with American linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox.

The 31-year-old was recently released by the Ottawa Redblacks after spending the past three seasons in the nation’s capital, recording 209 tackles, five sacks, and two interceptions in 42 games.

The six-foot-one, 233-pound linebacker began his CFL career in Winnipeg, spending two seasons with the Blue Bombers (2017-2018).

Tiger-Cats add punter Fraser Masin

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Global punter Fraser Masin to a two-year deal.

The Australian was the first overall pick in the 2025 CFL Global Draft by the Calgary Stampeders, making five appearances for the team last season, recording 27 punts with an average of 46 yards per boot.
