A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash between a bicycle and a vehicle at a busy intersection in Brampton on Saturday morning.

Peel Regional Police said in a social media post that the collision took place near Kennedy Road and Eastern Avenue just before 10 a.m.

A bike rider was transported to a trauma centre, with updates on their condition unknown. The driver remained at the scene, police said.

Investigators have not provided further information on the cyclist, including his age.

Kennedy Road was closed in both directions between Queen Street and Eastern Avenue while police continued their investigation.
