Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch recently suggested that assembling the band’s 15th studio album isn’t currently a priority, a sentiment that didn’t sit well with diehard fans. However, new activity behind the scenes suggests fresh Korn material may already be in the works.+

Whether Welch was being deliberately vague or the sessions serve another purpose remains unclear, but signs point to the possibility of new Korn music on the horizon.

Mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, My Chemical Romance) shared a studio photo on February 14th, which has since been deleted, featuring Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer alongside producer Nick Raskulinecz, who previously worked with the band on 2019’s The Nothing.

Lord-Alge shared the following in the now deleted post:

What a blast with Nick Raskulinecz and Munkey mixing Korn!! Heavy badass rock!!!
