Three men were rescued, one of whom suffered a serious leg injury, after a porch at an under-construction home in Stoney Creek, Ont., collapsed and trapped them Tuesday morning.
Police said they were called to the residential construction site on Green Mountain Road before 9 a.m.
They said the porch collapsed and the adult male workers were trapped underneath.
“Hamilton Police, Hamilton Fire Department and Hamilton Paramedic Service attended the scene. All three individuals were extricated and transported to hospital,” police told CP24.

The extent of the other injuries sustained are considered to be non-life-threatening.
It’s unclear what caused the porch to collapse.

The Ministry of Labour will be investigating.
