WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina men’s tennis team took its first loss of the season, falling 2-5 to UNCW on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Chanticleers move to 5-1 on the season.
The Chants picked up the doubles point, earning wins on all three courts to take an early 1-0 lead in the match.
UNCW claimed five singles matches to secure the team win.
Juan Cruz Collardin earned Coastal’s lone singles win of the afternoon, defeating Alexander Thompson in straight sets.
The Chants look to bounce back Friday at home against UNC Greensboro. The match will start at 1 p.m.
