Steve Kerr said it’s possible Stephen Curry will get another MRI after consulting with Rick Celebrini, the team’s lead medical decision-maker.
The Warriors expect Kristaps Porziņģis to make his team debut when they face off against the Celtics on Thursday night (10 ET, Prime Video), but Stephen Curry will reportedly miss additional time due to a knee injury.
ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported Wednesday night that Curry was unable to participate in a live scrimmage and it is unclear when he’ll be able to return to the lineup.
“Just wasn’t where he needed to be,” Kerr said per ESPN’s Anthony Slater. “It’s unfortunate. We’ll have an update tomorrow after he goes through his time with the training staff.”
Kerr said it’s possible that Curry will need to get another MRI after consulting with Dr. Rick Celebrini.
Porziņģis, acquired from Atlanta in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga at the trade deadline, has dealt with both illness and Achilles tendonitis this season. He’s averaging 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17 games this season.
