Garmin has offered up a new update for its latest high-end smartwatches. The latest in a series of v17.xx builds, Beta Version 17.22 arrives with a few key changes for smartwatches like the Enduro 3, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 ahead of a more substantial stable update that is on the horizon.

Garmin has finalised another beta update for its recent high-end smartwatches after delivering Beta Version 17.19 to the same devices at the end of last month. To recap, Beta Version 17.19 brought half a dozen improvements to the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon).

By contrast, its replacement brings half as many improvements to the table. Nonetheless, Beta Version 17.22 contains a new feature whereby one can now stop navigation options within the Active Stage and Navigation menus. Additionally, the new update is said to resolve a bug that disabled All Day Notifications and Alerts when toggling Smart Notifications in Do Not Disturb settings.

Moreover, the company claims to have fixed an issue where the countdown timer would show an invalid timeout after inputting an incorrect passcode. Currently, Garmin reports that it has offered Beta Version 17.22 to 50% of eligible Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 smartwatches as an over-the-air (OTA) download. Typically, all devices should receive a notification to download a new update within 48 hours. Please see Garmin’s forum post for more details.
